Harborne Primary School

Reception

Our Reception team have many years experience welcoming children and their families to our school. Our priority is to get to know each individual, to help them settle and enjoy participating in a wide range of learning experiences. Reception is all about developing the friendships, skills, attitudes and behaviours they will use for the rest of their school careers and the rest of their lives!

If you would like further information about our approach to reading, writing and phonics, please go to the English page under 'Curriculum'.

There is also information about the statutory Reception Baseline Assessment which is carried out in September each year.
